STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. The Word of God:
The Bible alone is the Word of God, fully inspired and without
error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of
the Holy Spirit, and having supreme authority in all matters of faith
and life.
2. The Trinity:
The Trinity God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all
of whom are equal in esteem and glory. He creates, provides and redeems.
A. God the Father:
God the Father is infinite and almighty, the first Person of
the Trinity. He hears and answers our prayers. He
sent His Son Jesus Christ to save all sinners.
B. Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, is the second Person
of the Trinity. He became a full man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of a virgin. He was crucified on the cross for our sins, died
and buried. On the third day He arose bodily from the dead. He ascended
into heaven and He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
C. The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity and is
sent from the Father, the Son, to sanctify and empower all who believe
in Jesus Christ. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit indwells
every believer in Christ and endows each believer with spiritual gifts
for ministry to the family of God and the world.
3. Salvation:
For God so loved the world that He calls all people into awareness
of their sins, the availability of God's grace, and the need for repentance
and faith that results in salvation and fellowship with God. Jesus
is the only Savior. By the grace of God, our sins are forgiven through
the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Those who confess their sins and believe
in the resurrection of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, shall receive
salvation and the forgiveness of their sin, and are regenerated by the
Holy Spirit into a new life in Christ only by the grace of God.
4. Future Destiny:
Jesus Christ will return to earth personally and imminently to
establish His Kingdom. Death seals the eternal destiny of each person.
For each person, there will be a resurrection of the body, the final
judgment before God, the eternal bliss in heaven of those who are in
Christ Jesus, and the endless separation from God for those who are
not saved.
5. The Church:
The church is the body of Christ in this world, Christ being the
Head. The church exists as a universal family of God, as well as a
local body of believers who are committed in obedience to Him. Believers
in a local church are called together by God to devote themselves to
worship, to pray, and to teach the Word of God.
6. The Church Ordinance:
A. Baptism:
We believe that Baptism by immersion, is the symbolic event of
one who baptized into Christ; whereby an individual affirms and identifies
with the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.
B. The Lord's Supper:
The Lord's Supper represented by the unleavened bread and the fruit of the
vine symbolizes the sacrificial love of Jesus thru His shed blood, whereby
the atonement of sin is achieved. All believers shall observe and partake
the Lord's Supper as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ.
